Step 2: Mrs. Siira will invoice you via PayPal for the $1,000 USD deposit.

Step 3: Complete the items we need to introduce your child to potential host families.
Form 2: Student Essay
Video: This should be 3-5 minutes with the student talking to the camera. They should talk about:
Who they are: siblings, family, things that make them special
Why they want to go to STM/the US and what their goals are while they are here
Any hobbies or sports they enjoy (what they like to do with their free time)
Form 3: Host Family Acknowledgment
This is for the parents to sign so you know what is and is not expected of the host family.
Form 11: Host Family Compatibility Agreement
Step 4: Send in the following documents needed for I-20
Copy of Passport Copy of Birth Certificate
Step 5: Mrs. Siira will prepare the I-20 and email it to you.
Please check this over carefully especially names and birthdates.
Step 6: Make an appointment with the Embassy.
You will need to receive a VISA and pay the SEVIS fee.
Step 7: Gather and send in the remaining documents as you receive them.

Step 8: Speak to Mrs. Siira about payment options
We can accommodate payment plans. All balances must be paid prior to Dec 31.
Step 9: Host Family Assigned
We will send out contact information so Mexican and Host Families and start communicating.
Step 10: Insurance Card issued
Our insurance company, Stevens, Myer & Toohey will issue cards at the end of August. These will be given to the host families with a copy kept at the school as well. You can have additional insurance from your own provider, but we also require this plan.
